Correctional Officer
The Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections is hiring Correctional Officers who are ready to make a difference. In this essential role, you'll help maintain safety and order while supporting the rehabilitation of individuals in state custody. If you’re dependable, professional, and committed to public service, there’s a place for you on our team.
Be at least 18 years old
Be a U.S. citizen
Have a high school diploma or GED
Have no felony convictions after the age of 18
Successfully pass a background investigation
Successfully complete a physical assessment
Must possess a current and valid driver's license
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test

Pay and Benefits
Our Correctional Officers earn up to $53,000/ year and have the ability to move up to Master Sergeant in 1 year.
